Report Ann Graham.

 Hi, This afternoon on Par beach, in the dry seaweed at the back of the 
beach were 4 Ringed Plovers, 6Turnstone and a Baird's Sandpiper. 
Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me. 

 Thank you Ann. The Baird's Sandpiper will be of interest to the regulars.

    What identified it as a Baird's Sandpiper then ? And as stated above whats the "this afternoon" got to do with it ...

    The bird was seen on monday afternoon at about 3pm, alone on the seaweed. I went back on tuesday and wednesday with my camera but couldn't find it. I identified it as a Baird's because of its tiny size, its long wing feathers extending way past its rump and its long beak. Its beak was shorter than a Dunlins and not downcurved.
