Pied Wagtail .............Motacilla alba
One of a number of Wagtails that frequent the beach and shoreline. Very active and forever darting around in what appears a relentless search for food.
Natural World. Birds, Animals, Flora, Fauna and Fungi around St Austell Bay. Black Head to Gribbin Head.
Lovely photo of the Wagtail, I always think they are difficult to do justice to but you have managed it well and that is a great photo of the Little Egret on the previous post.

I have often stated the Pied Wagtail is a very difficult bird to photograph well. My theory is that birds with very dark heads are more difficult to get a great shot of than say gulls or a Robin. The Oystercatcher is another bird I am still waiting to get a reasonable photograph of. Maybe it is because the eyes are not so prominent.
