We had a quick look at the Beach Pool this evening and nothing unusual was noted. Up to the beach where the tide was in.. and once again it was just the odd Swan or two on the water... in fact it was that quiet I was looking around for Crows and Wagtails and they also failed to show .
Maybe we would have better luck at Spit so off we went. With the exception of a hundred odd Oystercatchers and three Wimbrel (Angie said twenty went over the wall) on the slope of the harbour wall nothing else was seen on the shoreline.
A Cormorant flew low across the water out at sea and with that we returned to the car.
A very quiet evening indeed.
