Report K.Cross.

Hi, sadly we have found this dear little bird dead outside our garden room window, and are having difficulty identifying it.  We have numerous species in our St Austell garden, but don't recognise this as a frequent visitor. Your help would be much appreciated.

I will throw it out to the experts. Can someone identify it please.
Chaffinch?

  1. Our thoughts were that it was from the Finch family because of the beak, but didn't recognise the plumage from any of the Finch family that we see in our garden.

  2. It's a Female Bullfinch

  3. Presumably a juvenile bullfinch as it doesn't appear to have a black cap?
