Treskilling Downs

I spent a mostly gloomy light afternoon at Treskilling today, and saw a considerable number of birds: Greenfinch, chaffinch and goldfinch, dunnock, blackbird, linnet, chiffchaff, yellowhammer and common whitethroat. A hobby flew over, but too distant for a pic. I've attached pics of the chiff, greenfinch, yellowhammer and whitethroat.
Nothing unusual down at Par Beach Pool.

Report and Photographs. Andrew Carey

Thank .you for the report and photographs
A  good afternoons birding Andrew.
A very productive site on the right day.

  1. Great selection Andy. Bet T's miffed about the Whitethroat :0) He wanted one so badly yesterday that he handed his Nikon over to me, but alas they were too quick & all the settings were wrong when they were not...!!!

  2. Indeed it is Trevor. All these shots were taken of birds in the bush to the west of the main entrance to the site and pit, and each of them spent quite a bit of time in it, so I'd recommend staking it out for the whitethroat!!!!
