  2. Very nice assortment Trevor but I was totally surprised to see Green Woodie as a 'lifer'.

  3. Thanks Mark. It was a good two days visit. It was a pity Frampton Lake was frozen over.
I would have had a Goshawk but I could not quite find it although I saw everything in the sky. Angie ticked it.

  5. Hi Bob.
    Have a good out .
I probably had another three or four life ticks but you cannot count the tame birds so out went Smew, Eider and some others that have slipped my mind. We did see a Todd's Canada Goose but again I was told it was not a tick although it was in the wilds.

  6. Hi Frank.

He has been on my wish list for some time now so I was happy with seeing him at Chew Valley.
If that is bad...how about these life ticks...Tree Sparrow, Brambling, Iceland Gull, Redstart, to name just some of what may appear easy but I have not seen them. Now I have seen a Golden Eagle in Cornwall and there is only Angie who has done likewise.

  7. Hi Trevor. I fully understand as I haven't seen a Tree Sparrow for many, many years. Also if I hadn't travelled around the country in the past my UK list would look fairly uninspiring!
