This bird of prey was hovering above the coastal path overlooking Crinnis beach at Carlyon Bay last Saturday (25th). Some walkers said it looked like sparrowhawk but I thought it might be a kestrel.

Several flocks of Whimbrel moving along  the beach and circling the Pool this morning: c30 birds.
