Photograph and report Andrew Carey. 4th January 2011I ventured out today, and spent some time down on the beach by the river. The black redstart was still present, along with at least 3 stonechat, too many meadow pipits to count, small flocks of both goldfinch and linnets and, best bird of the day, a chiffchaff, all bar the goldfinch feeding on the banks of flotsam and seaweed.
I've attached a different shot of the black redstart, and one of the chiff.
I reckon that Chiffchaff is one of at least two seen a couple of days ago around the same area. Angie also photographed one or two.
Great pictures of Black Redstart, one I never photographed, and the beauty of the Chiffchaff.
