Photograph and report Andrew Carey. 4th January 2011
I ventured out today, and spent some time down on the beach by the river. The black redstart was still present, along with at least 3 stonechat, too many meadow pipits to count, small flocks of both goldfinch and linnets and, best bird of the day, a chiffchaff, all bar the goldfinch feeding on the banks of flotsam and seaweed.
I've attached a different shot of the black redstart, and one of the chiff.
I reckon that Chiffchaff is one of at least two seen a couple of days ago around the same area.
Angie also photographed one or two.
Great pictures of Black Redstart, one I never photographed, and the beauty of the Chiffchaff.
