Juvenile Kestrel

My first decent Bird of Prey photograph.

Thankfully stayed around long enough for me to get the equipment out of the car and photograph him.

I am really pleased with this as I did not bother with the Golden Eagle because I believed (and still do) that it was too far out of range for my lens.

Kestrel Over Par

Another sunny evening so we (Angie and myself) decided to take a stroll along Par Beach and surrounding area.

On the way to parking the area Angie spotted what looked like a Sparrowhawk in the distance . She was out of the car in a flash and taking photographs. Although the photographs are not particularly good due to the extreme distance she has ascertained the image was not a Sparrowhawk as first thought but a Kestrel.
A good start to the evening and a patch tick.
