The latest date I know of for Cornwall is 22nd November, 1988 in Falmouth. Might be worth going back to the broadwalk on the next sunny day! For the record could you say where you saw it so I can get a grid for it?
Hi Jowan. The location was the dock and river end of Par Beach Pool. SX0853. The boardwalk is a man made structure crossing the slightly marshy area we call the wilderness. This is all part of the Clay Nature Trail. Roger Lane told me the county list latest was the 5th December 1990 at Marazion. Hope this helps.
Aye Trevor, Common Darter, I hope, unbelievable this time of year. Was her dead? 'cept it's a he.
ReplyDeleteHi Trevor, is it the summer already?
ReplyDeleteWhat a find. It's hard to believe it's still around.
ReplyDeleteAlive and flying Adrian.
ReplyDeleteNot yet Bob....soon be spring though. Dark nights are a wee bit dreary ..
ReplyDeleteHello Emma.
ReplyDeleteI think they have been seen on the site up to the beginning of December...probably years ago though.
