This is an unusual bird to me. We have nothing like this over here that I am aware of and I live in the Midwest, in Ohio, and birds that come into my backyard are those I photograph. Anyway. It is a nice shot.

I find they are very quick to scarper once they know you are there. When they do..they are rather comical breaking out into the frantic dash for safety.

ReplyDeleteThe Moorhen is a very common bird seen on most ponds, pools and rivers over here in the UK.
